Explore the beautiful coastline

Costa Brava - coast
The coastline of the Costa Brava is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. It’s very rugged, there are loads of tiny beaches to take a break and you will find gorgeous small towns. There is a long trail along the coastline, which is called the Camí the Ronda. On this trail, you’ll climb a lot of stairs and will be rewarded with amazing views.

Tip: Hiking Camí de Ronda

Get lost in Girona

Costa Brava - Girona
Girona is the largest city in Costa Brava and absolutely worth a visit. It has a beautiful city centre, filled with narrow streets and steps. It’s pretty much impossible to drive here, so you won’t see a lot of cars. You might recognize some parts of the city because Game of Thrones was filmed in Girona (Kings Landing and Braavos).

Go find Salvador Dalí

Costa Brava - Dali
The famous artist Salvador Dalí was born in Costa Brava and also lived in this region. You will see his name in many places, especially in the city of Figueres. Here you will find the Teatre-Museu Dalí, a theater/museum filled with the most amazing paintings and sculptures. Dalí is also buried in this museum. If you like to see more of Dalí, you can also visit his house in Port Lligat (make sure to make a reservation ahead) and the small castle in Pùbol he bought for his wife.

Enjoy the amazing food

Costa Brava - paella
The food at Costa Brava is the best I’ve ever had. It’s mostly tapas and paella, and fresh fish. In the afternoon you can sit down for a long lunch, which is really cheap. Usually around €10-€15 for three courses, including wine. Buen provecho!

Go hiking in the mountains

Costa Brava - mountains
If you like hiking, you will love the Costa Brava, because there are loads of beautiful trails. One of the best hikes I did, was in the mountains. We hiked from Port de la Selva through the Serra de Rodes to Llançà. A great trail with many olive trees, a beautiful small town (La Vall de Santa Creu), loads of cactuses and the views are absolutely stunning.
